Born, June 19, 1963 to Cora and George Standeford at Community Hospital in Indy, he has one older brother, James, that resides in Oklahoma. He graduated from Decatur Central High School ( as did Jeff, Shawn and Kevin Eldridge) in 1981. He served 5 years in the US NAVY Seabees. After being honorably discharged, worked various electrical jobs, yet now is currently a labor foreman for FA Wilhelm.
In retro-spect, at an early age Scott found a love for music through family gatherings. Various family members were good singers and musicians, yet one in particular- Charles Chelf (AKA Uncle Randy) was Scott's motivating factor to become the musician he is today. From Scott's first band back in JR High school to where he is today, the Lord has blessed his musical career. Though not always involved in gospel music through church, the Lord knew that someday He would use Scott's musical talent to help further His Kingdom.
He would like to thank the Lord for the past and present journey, not regretting all the trials he has faced. For the Lord knew it would strengthen him for whatever task he may face.
